Responsible Advertising in the Gulf: Regional Relevance, Global Responsibility
This roundtable, co-hosted by the Advertising Business Group (ABG), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the Dubai Media Council, will convene leading voices from industry, government, and civil society to explore the evolving advertising landscape in Dubai and the wider Gulf region.
The session will spotlight the role of self-regulation in fostering responsible marketing practices, aligning regional priorities with global standards, and ensuring cultural relevance in a rapidly digitising media environment. Participants will engage in a candid dialogue on how voluntary codes such as the ICC Code of Advertising and Marketing Communications and the ABG Code of Advertising Practice can support ethical advertising, protect consumers, and promote trust in communication.
The roundtable will also examine the intersection of regulation, innovation, and regional identity, offering a platform for collaboration and forward-looking strategies.
